"The words of the LORD are pure words
Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times."
It's Psalm 11:6 and part of what I'm reading this morning.
Yes, I already knew God's word was true, holy and to be trusted. But this verse just hit me with the picture of something being thrown into a fire and yet coming out perfect. Seven times!
To me, it's a reassurance ~not only of His purity~ but also of the strength and power of the LORD and of His Word!
"Our God is an awesome God,
He reigns from heaven on high,
with wisdom, power and might.
Our God is an awesome God."
Why do I not always remember this in times of struggle?
